Earlier today, Elephant journalists were amongst protests outside Queen Mary University, where strikers have been stopping students in an attempt to prevent them entering campus and encouraging them to join forces and support their lecturers.
In Whitechapel, large numbers of protesters congregated outside The Royal London Hospital, with many healthcare workers joining the cause.

Huge crowds departed from Lincoln's Inn Fields, moving on to Embankment, where an estimated 20,000 protestors gathered for the Rally. The main event now over, our reporters have spread across London to follow reports of splinter groups, particularly in Piccadilly Circus for the Occupy LSX event. Follow live updates as our journalists spread across London to cover all of today's protests.
